Mark Rowlands is an acclaimed philosopher, professor, and the chair of the philosophy department at the University of Miami. With over two decades of research and more than 23 books to his name, Mark is one of the world’s foremost experts on the animal mind, morality, and consciousness. He has pioneered ideas about the extended mind—challenging the idea that our thoughts and memories are limited to our brains—and has written influential works including Animals Like Us and The Philosopher and the Wolf.
His latest book, The Word of Dog, he explores what dogs teach us about fulfillment, meaning, and happiness—lessons we often overlook in the complexity of human life.
